Aims
The Applied MBA is an exciting new concept in executive education.
This non accredited programme provides the underpinning knowledge and understanding of management theory and its application in the workplace. The academic rigour of the programme is quality assured by the University of Ulster.
Structure
The programme is structured around 4 modules each lasting three days:
Module 1: Strategic Management
Module 2: Leadership
Module 3: Strategic Marketing
Module 4: Financial Management
A Certificate of Completion will be issued by the University of Ulster following full attendance at all four modules.
Mode of Delivery
Each module will be delivered over a three day workshop conducted by University of
Ulster faculty.
Duration
These interactive workshops will be held in eight week cycles over a period of 6 months.

The programme is targeted at middle to senior managers seeking to upgrade their knowledge and understanding of latest management theory and practice. It also
provides excellent networking opportunities.
Progression route
Successful completion of the programme may lead to exemptions on the fully accredited
MSc in Executive Leadership awarded by the University of Ulster.
Course Director & Faculty
The experienced course team is lead by Professor Jacky McCoy, Director of the Business Institute at the University of Ulster. The team is made up of academics and executive development consultants with substantial experience in the Gulf region.
Course Details
The Applied MBA seeks to upgrade the knowledge of busy professionals and improve their theoretical and practical understanding of the main business areas.
The programme is designed to take participants on a business management journey by introducing a comprehensive corporate case study containing both problems and opportunities in the 4 most important areas of business; Strategy, Leadership, Marketing and Financial Management.
Through the introduction of applied concepts and case study discussions, participants are expected to utilise the company introduced in the case study to explore the opportunities and solve the problems. This will enable them to master a holistic management approach to these very important key subjects.
All four workshops will be facilitated by experienced teachers who possess both extensive global academic and business experience.
